Open-Source-Case-Studies: feedback from an internship

Open-Source-Case-Studies is a set of open-source C code bases intended to
provide usage examples of Frama-C, help regression testing, and benchmarking
of realistic code.
During his internship, Dario Pinto explored this code base using the Eva
plug-in to perform several different tasks: analyze code, find issues in the code
(and a few in Frama-C itself), provide user feedback, review benchmarks,
write analysis scripts, and compare Eva to other static analysis tools, such as
Facebook’s Infer.
In this talk, Dario Pinto, which is currently studying at 42 School, will
present his atypical profile and some details about studying at 42, which may be
of interest to future internship mentors. He will then summarize his work during
the internship, presenting technical results. In the end, future directions on
using Frama-C and Eva to handle larger code bases will be presented.
